The things you need are: A script, green screen, two sets of lights and a video editing program that has green screen options. You can buy a cheap green screen on line for less then $30 and lights can be bought at Home Depot also fairly cheap. One set of lights are for back lights and the other set are fill lights. The purpose of the back light is to kill the shadow of the fill light. Direct the back light only on the screen and both type of lights should be about same density. Try to get a light diffuser which comes in white sheets it which gives a softer and more even light. Perform about three feet in front of screen make sure there is no shadows from the fill light. If you are like me and want to do all the characters put one of the characters dialog on a recording device with time for your dialog to be spoken. Play the recording device while you perform. This should give the right timing. The recorded part will be edited out in post production. Make sure you face in the right direction so that the characters are looking at each other. Do the second character the same way. When you edit find a background and put that on the first time line. Take the green out of the character scenes with the chroma key and put them on the next two time lines. It might be necessary to move them around a bit so they look like they are talking to each other. Don’t forget to mute out the tape portions of the audio. This is how I did “Do You Know Him?” video blog. I used Final Cut Express to edit but there are less expensive programs for PCs. Pinnacle is one and fairly user friendly. If you are good with computers you will get with it in a very short time, just be patient. Good Luck
